We are a referral platform. Join the network, receive local job leads, and accept only the work you want.

How It Works
Customers contact us → we create a lead → we notify matching handymen → the first to accept gets the job. You control your own schedule, pricing, and communication with the customer.
Platform Role
The Handyman SF is a referral and communication platform only. We do not employ, supervise, or guarantee the work performed by handymen. We simply connect customers with independent service providers based on availability and skill.
Participation does not create employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency. You remain an independent contractor at all times.
Documents & Eligibility
- Provide a valid ID, and where required, proof of relevant licenses and insurance.
- Complete the signup form accurately and keep your information current.
- Maintain good communication and professional standards.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in suspension from the platform.
Lead Assignment
Leads may be distributed to one or more service providers. Assignments are made based on acceptance time, responsiveness, customer ratings, and past reliability. The first to confirm “Accept” generally receives the job.
Payments & Platform Fee
You and the customer settle payments directly between you unless otherwise communicated. For each completed and customer-approved job, a standard platform fee may apply, covering lead generation, communication tools, and ongoing support. This fee structure may change from time to time and will always be clearly disclosed in writing or through the app.
Customer Satisfaction
Platform fees only apply when:
- The job has been completed, and
- The customer confirms satisfaction with the service.
The Handyman SF reserves the right to waive or adjust platform fees in special cases or disputes, based on customer feedback and fairness.
Professional Conduct
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers.
- Arrive on time and follow safety rules.
- Keep the work area clean and professional.
- Provide accurate status updates through the platform.
Failure to follow these standards may affect your access to future leads.
Liability & Indemnity
You acknowledge that The Handyman SF does not perform, control, or guarantee any work. All services are performed independently by the handyman.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Handyman SF from any claims, damages, losses, or disputes arising from your services or conduct. The platform’s total liability, if any, is strictly limited as stated in our full Terms of Service.
Termination
Either party may terminate participation at any time by written notice. Any pending platform fees for completed jobs remain due. The Handyman SF may also suspend or remove access for violations, misuse, or repeated no-shows.
Reviews & Ratings
Customer reviews help maintain transparency and fairness. Feedback may influence your visibility and lead priority on the platform.
Data, Privacy & Marketing Use
By joining, you allow The Handyman SF to:
- Display your profile and portfolio for marketing and lead-matching purposes.
- Store and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We never sell or share your personal data with unrelated third parties.
Governing Law
These Participation Terms are governed by California law. Venue for any disputes shall be San Francisco County, California. Arbitration may apply where legally permitted.
